Lockaby does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app works on your device and has no servers of its own and no user accounts. Its only network use is Google Play's billing service, which checks whether you have purchased the full version.
Lockaby ("the app") is developed by Primož Žvanut ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the app handles information. It applies to the Android application published under the package name com.khey.pz.lockaby.
We collect nothing. Lockaby does not gather personal information, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, device identifiers, location data, contacts, photos, or any other personal or sensitive data.
The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, and no advertising library.
Lockaby saves a small amount of configuration locally so the app remembers your setup between sessions. This includes:
This information never leaves your device. It is not backed up to our servers because we do not operate any servers. Uninstalling Lockaby permanently deletes it.
Lockaby is free to install and includes ten free locks. After those are used, a single one-time purchase removes the limit permanently. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
The purchase is processed entirely by Google Play, which acts as the seller. Lockaby never sees your name, card number, billing address, or any other payment detail. It receives only a confirmation that the purchase exists, and stores that single fact on your device.
Google's handling of the transaction is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Lockaby requests the minimum permissions required for it to function:
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) — This is the core function of the app. It allows Lockaby to place a protective lock screen on top of the app your child is using, so they cannot navigate away or tap other controls. The overlay is only shown when you activate it, and it is removed when you unlock.com.android.vending.BILLING) — Enables the one-time purchase through Google Play.To let you choose which app to lock, Lockaby asks Android for the list of apps that have a launcher icon. That list is read on your device at the moment you open the picker, is never stored, and is never transmitted.
Lockaby does not use an Accessibility Service and does not request Device Owner privileges.
Lockaby does not record, capture, screenshot, or transmit anything shown on your screen. To automatically release the lock when a phone call arrives, the app checks whether the device's ringer is currently active. It cannot access call content, phone numbers, contacts, or the microphone.
We do not share data with third parties, because we do not collect any data to share. Lockaby has no advertising partners and no analytics processors.
The only third party involved is Google Play, and only as the processor of your purchase.
Lockaby is a parental control tool intended to be installed and configured by a parent or guardian on their own device. The app is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children under 13.
Because no data is collected or transmitted, there is no data in our possession that could be exposed in a breach. All settings remain in the app's private storage on your device, protected by Android's standard app sandbox.
If a future version of Lockaby introduces features that require handling data differently, we will update this policy and change the "Last updated" date above before releasing that version.
